Hello, my name is Saku.
In this issue, we introduce Barcelona, Spain.
I stayed for two nights.
Barcelona is known for the Sagrada Familia!
It will be completed soon! So I went to Barcelona with the interest of seeing it before it was completed.
It was a journey of unique and artistic architecture, with many of Gaudi's buildings.
I also heard from a friend that the food is good in Spain,
It lived up to my expectations and made me want to go back to Spain!
We hope this will be helpful to all of you.
Barcelona Transportation
Airport to Central Area
The Barcelona trip starts at Barcelona El Prat airport.
Arrive at Terminal 2 and follow the sequential route out.
Buses (Aerobus) are convenient from the airport to the center of Barcelona!
There was a bus stop right outside the T2 exit, so I waited there and the bus came right away.
Board through the front door and purchase a ticket from the driver.
You can pay by credit card.
The time required is 30 minutes.
7.45€ one way, 12.85€ round trip.
We moved on to Plaza Catalunya.
Transportation within the city
The city has excellent subway and bus lines.
I purchased a T-mobilitat, a 10-ticket transportation card, at a Metro station.
This allows for 10 rides on the subway or bus.
There is also a "Hola Barcelona" card that allows unlimited rides for one day and a "T-familiar" card that can be shared by several people, so choose the one that fits your stay.
Güell Park was far away, but other major tourist attractions were concentrated, so surprisingly, walking around the city is also a good way to get around on foot!

How to ride the subway and bus
(1) Subway
Subway stations have ticket gates, where you can pass through by holding your transportation card over the ticket gate.
Barcelona's subway system is famous for its pickpockets.
Please take care of your baggage!
Personal,
If there is an open seat, sit down.
Do not stand near doorways.
Smurfs must be kept on a string.
is thoroughly enforced in countries where pickpocketing is common.
I use a handbag with a zipper, but I try to hold it in front of me on the subway!
Thanks to you, nothing has ever been stolen, lol.
(2) Bus
The bus stop is very easy to find, so check the bus number and wait.
When the bus arrives, raise your hand and tell them to get on.
Ride through the front door and, if you are a T-mobilitat, hold it up to the IC reader.
If you have a coupon ticket (without IC chip), there is a card reader that you can put your ticket through!
It is recommended to confirm which your transportation card is for, so that the boarding process goes smoothly.
When you get off, please press the STOP button.
Must-visit attractions
Sagrada Familia

The Sagrada Familia is expected to be completed around 2030.
The Sagrada Familia, which is under construction, is only available now because it will not be visible someday!
How to purchase tickets
First, download the official Sagrada Familia app.
It costs 26€ (about 5000 yen) for the cathedral alone, and 36€ (about 6300 yen) for the cathedral and the tower.
High!
Tickets are date and time specific, so go at the designated time and enter.

I had bought a ticket only for inside the cathedral, but I think I should have gone to the tower as well.
I asked the staff to check on the day of the event, but they couldn't buy it because they were all booked up, so buy it in advance.
The app also has an audio guide, so I used it to listen to the commentary as I walked around the cathedral inside and out.
Last minute tickets are sold out and there are no day-of-performance tickets available.
So, buy at least a week in advance to allow plenty of time.
I think the time required was about two hours just inside the cathedral.
The inside of the cathedral was breathtaking, so beautiful that I could look at it forever.
I heard that the light is more beautiful in the morning, so morning is recommended!
Güell Park

This is a hilltop park where visitors can enjoy Gaudi's architecture.
This place is big and wide and we walked a lot!
Please wear comfortable walking shoes, lol.
The world looked like something out of a fairy tale and the colorful tiles were very pretty.
How to purchase tickets
I purchased it from the official website of Güell Park.
A ticket for a specific date and time costs 18€ (about 3000 yen) per person.
Casa Mila

Gaudi's work on the house.
The building was unlike anything I had ever seen from the outside, and the curves were amazing.
The exhibit inside was divided into various rooms and looked like a typical house, including bedrooms and bathrooms.
It was a strange creation, so it was fun like a maze, lol.
I especially loved the rooftop structure!
Due to sudden circumstances, I was unable to go on the designated date, but I really wanted to see it, so I went to the counter and told them about the situation, and they let me in specially.
Thank you very much.
How to purchase tickets
I purchased it from the official website of Casa Mila.
25€ (about 4,500 yen) per person, by date and time.
Bucería Market

A food market featuring the best of Barcelona's food!
Seafood, cured ham, and olives were on display, all of which looked delicious.
The Iberico pork ham is truly exquisite!
I would have gone home if I could have bought it.
I didn't need cash because all the stores accept credit cards for payment.
You won't get hand towels or anything, so wet wipes are a must.
